The other ones I mentioned were quality and professionalism. Making sure that your web designer has done quality work and will continue to do quality work for you on your website is important.

All web designers should have something they can give you on what projects they have completed. If they don’t have anything they can show you then they are probably not going to fit your needs if you want a good looking website. Everyone has to start somewhere and it’s not bad if they don’t have a resume to show you, they are most likely just not experienced yet.

The other quality that is important is professionalism. Although there is nothing wrong with having a more casual relationship with your web designer it is still important to have that level of professionalism to where you can talk to them on a more serious level. Make sure that your web designer knows what their place is and that you are relying on them for something that is serious to you. There should be no problems in this area in a normal case.
