OK. Enough is enough already. Sure, social networks are cool. Technology
is neat. The ability to communicate at an instant… awesome stuff! But do
we really need to “text”, “blog”, and now “tweet” our every thought and
feeling? Tweeting is stupid.

Great video to support my case:

I am still trying to figure out if people actually enjoy “tweeting” and
think people care or if they are just being paid money to do so.

Who the heck has time to “tweet” everything they do? Who wants to?
Never-mind reading “tweets”.

“Picking my nose right now, sitting on the toilet.”

Ok… and… your point?! Stop tweeting! I am sure there is going to be
some backlash for such a vented post and sure, there must be SOME positive
thing about the website. I guess if you want to know how Shaq is doing
while sitting on the bench at a basketball game, Twitter is the place to
go.

The poor internet is already plagued with time-wasting websites. There is
humor in certain aspects of it of course, nothing like watching a shrimp
on a tredmill VIA youtube if you get my point, but “tweeting” seems just
flat pointless.

Do people realize we are now just steps away from mounting a camera
harness on ourselves so someone can tune in and see what’s “streaming”?

Consider the idea on us, go ahead and take it to the bank! Let’s make a bracelet, point it at our face, and let it stream live! You won’t even need to type anymore! People could just tune in and watch/listen. But wait, that’s the whole thing… NO ONE WILL BECAUSE NO ONE CARES.

Really? Who has the time to look into what Shaq is doing while sitting on the bench. Who has the time and why would anyone care about what a celebrity is doing while sitting by a pool? Maybe all the recent layoffs have lead to the recent twitter spike. Rather than looking for a new job though, they are off “tweeting.”

Perhaps one day everyone will be able to look back and chuckle over the concept of blindly sending text message like statements out into space for someone to listen to. Reality TV, on-demand information, and the importance of being popular in our society have lead to this… GG!

Sorry twitter. Props for building a successful site, but what’s the point
again? It’s twitter open season and its time to put an end to tweeting.
