What you should look for and want from your website is what I talked about in my last post. I gave you some tips that should help you along with deciding on a design for your auto website. Also, you found out that functionality is just as important as looks. Taking all this into consideration you should soon have a site up that looks fabulous and performs like a champ. There is one small problem with the internet though. It’s HUGE! and your auto website is a tiny little speck of nothing in the middle of an ocean of information. Nice visualization? Good. Then your next question is, “How do I make sure that my website is found?” Well, this is a whole other ballpark called search engine optimization.

Most web design companies charge extra for search engine optimization. If you don’t do some SEO work on your auto website, you’ll never be found in search results anywhere. So the first step is to make sure either you (if you know how) or your web design company optimizes your auto website. This means changing all the tags: meta, title, etc. to your keywords. Also, you should submit yourself to the major search engines. If you look on Google and search for auto web design there are always some results going to pop up first in line that are highlighted in yellow and some more down the side. These websites are pay-per-click. That means the company pays for themselves to be up there. This is also an option for you if you feel you have the income to do so. Most small businesses do not have this kind of money to spare.

If you have SEO work done it is not guaranteed that you will show up on the first page or even the second. This is something that is hard work to do, but even if you’re on page five it’s better than being on page forty-six. Try to remember this when you have SEO work done and are not satisfied with not being on page one.

In my last post I talked about how auto web design is an investment, much like a vehicle. You have to make smart decisions and not let someone swindle you out of your money. Knowing and researching about what you want your website to look and function like is going to help you tremendously in the end. Going into web design with an open slate usually leads to a web designer being able to try and take advantage of you not knowing what you want. Get some ideas from other auto websites and bring in some of your own. If they are a good web designer they should be able to incorporate whatever it is you need into your website. If they can’t, I would suggest looking for someone else. When you look at cars you try to pick out something that looks good to you; something that you can test drive and you know works well. You want it to get good gas mileage and be able to do everything you’re going to need it for. These are the same things you need to think about when creating an auto website.

Try to creating an auto website that is pleasing to the eye. Something that potential customers/visitors are going to be impressed with seeing while keeping it professional and simple. Look to other auto websites to help you decide on this factor, there are plenty out there. The next thing to worry about is functionality. When creating an auto website it is important that everything on the site works properly. It should be easy for people to navigate through and all the navigational buttons should go somewhere. If you have an ecommerce store it is even more important to check functionality. Be sure that all the functions you want on your website are there.

There are a lot of directions you could go in when having a website designed for you. It’s your job to make sure that you and your designer are going in the same one.

My last post was just an introduction to the world of auto web design. I mentioned some of the benefits to having auto web design done and owning your own auto website. I also mentioned a bunch of categories that belong under auto web design; things like auto dealers, car clubs, ecommerce websites having to deal with car parts and accessories, etc. Auto web design is a smart thing to get for your business but it’s also an investment, so you need to be smart about it.

If you think about cars, right when they leave the lot they decrease in value by a ton. Auto web design and auto websites are the opposite way; as soon as your site is up and live your website will only bring you business. Either way, for a car or a website, you need to spend some money to get what you need. Making sure your not wasting your money is something you are going to have to keep track of throughout the process. There are a lot of ways to cut costs in web design. Although this seems like a great little tidbit, it’s not. Quality of web design it directly related to how much you pay.

If you’re going to try and go cheaper you’ll end up with that rusty little junker that no one can be proud of driving. Generally speaking, your auto website won’t look good and people won’t find you professional enough to take care of their needs. Therefore, you just saved money to lose money. When you are going to have an auto website built you should think about what is reasonable and not how much you can get away with without spending. Think about your budget before going into this. If you don’t have enough money for a quality website to be built it is better to wait and save up some more then to end up spending twice.

There are many different types of websites that fit into auto web design; car dealerships, auto body shops, parts dealers, and things of that sort. Auto web design is a great way to aid in bringing people to your business. Having a good web design will also help customers feel comfortable using you. If your website is well built and well designed, you will come off as professional and experienced. Auto web design is not only for car dealers and the like though. Many people have personally geared websites that are a tribute to the cars they love; or there are car show events that sometimes have websites built to inform people about the shows.

There’s a limitless possibility to all the different websites you could be associated with auto web design. The main factor between all of them is that having a website dedicated to whatever auto related thing you want is going to boost your exposure. More people will be aware of you and have easier access to all of your information and, if you’re an ecommerce store, your products too. If you have a car club you should think about the option to boost your members. In fact, if you’re a localized car club, you’re sure to start seeing members across the country.

Everyone everywhere drives a vehicle. It’s the only way to get around these days. Having an auto website is one of the biggest markets you could get into. With all the time it takes to drive to check out a mechanic or see if a store has some parts only to turn around and drive back again, people benefit from having an auto website. It makes sense to have the information they need ready for them on the internet so they don’t have to waste time. Auto websites are some of the fastest growing types of web design. If you want to get noticed think about auto web design and what benefits it could have for you.

Your auto website is going to be the best thing that has ever happened to your auto business. No matter what type of auto business you own or are a part of DreamCo Design has what you need to get your auto website off the ground. The whole process of setting up your auto website is easy all we need to start is a phone call from you.

Auto web design starts with you and the type of auto website you want to move forward wit. No matter what type of auto business you have the process of setting up your auto website is the same. Most of the auto web design we come across are for car parts or accessories. These are typically the most popular type of auto website. If you want to get technical this type of auto website truly falls into the ecommerce end of web design. But most websites tend to cross over into other areas. In fact ecommerce is not so much a type of website as it is a category. All an ecommerce website does is sell products. So you can really group that into any industry.

The other type of auto businesses we see seeking auto web design are car dealerships or RV dealer ships. These types of auto websites are mainly there to give prospective buyers information about purchasing an auto, some will even allow you to purchase the auto right from the website. This area of auto web design takes a little more care and involves a bit more attention. Some people really like the idea of buying a car without a sales person breathing down their neck. However some like the sales person, this means you need to find a happy medium for your auto dealership website. Allow customers to call for information as well as just browse and purchase.

The final type of auto website we see the most are for car clubs. The great thing about this type of auto web design is that it allows your car club to gain a level of exposure that may not have been achievable prior to the introduction of the car club website. There are various types of car or auto club websites. There is pretty much a club for every type of auto out there. But the great thing is that you can set up clubs website up to do so many things and inform those in the club about upcoming events. You can even allow for people to join the club right through the website.

As stated above the type of auto web design you decide to move forward with really has no effect on the process of development. All you have to do to get started is call. DreamCo Design has all the tools and solutions that you could ever need when considering auto web design.

The biggest thrill in the world next to having a kid or buying a house is probably getting that fist new car. It is a right of passage for some, not everyone gets a brand new car during their life time, but you can always tell who just bought a new car.

We are very protective of our little darlings the first year or so. Then the excitement kind of wears off. No longer do we park our car in the very last spot at the store or the movie theatre, just to deter people from parking next to us. At least that is what I did. That was until three weeks after I purchased my brand new car. I waited three months to get the car because they simply did not have a 5 speed in the US any where. Then three weeks later 2 days before Christmas a girl smashed into the back of my car, sending it flying into the car in front of me. My brand new car was now a $19,000 accordion.

After the accident I was really interested in getting a new car. But with out a car to drive to the dealerships I had no choice but to use the web. I visited all kinds of auto websites. Their were dealership websites, car classified websites; I even looked for parts for my poor smashed up baby. Later I learned that my car was so new that parts were simply not available. I ended up not buy a car after my accident; instead I decided to have my car fixed. But with no parts available I had to wait three months to get it fixed.

If it weren’t for the auto websites I would have never been able to get any information about my car. The body shop had no answers so I went to other sources. So if you are in the auto industry you should sincerely consider auto web design. The auto websites really helped me out through that though time. They gave me information that I simply would not be able to get with out them. Hell, I even ended up renting a car through the rental website.

Auto web design has to be one of the better uses of the web out there. If there was any way of making good money off the web it is auto web design. People just love their cars and they love to dream about owning a car that they could never afford. But we can still drool over those pictures we see on those auto websites. That is why they need to look great and you have to remember that auto web design is a pretty big investment.

Like all investments an auto website needs to be taken care of in order for it to succeed. Most websites fail within the first year. This happens for several different reasons so be careful and do not let yourself fall into that trap. Typically a website or business will fail simply because it was not set up right. This can cause several problems latter down the line. If you’re looking to save a few bucks really think about it. It happens all the time in auto web design. A car club does not want to spend that much money on their website so they go with a web designer who is cheap and quick. Latter they will find out that the car club website is buggy and very difficult to maintain. Then they end up spending more money to have someone fix it. So it is almost like spending twice the money for the one project. Set things up right the first time and you will be fine.

It is best to think about auto web design like buying a car. A car can cost you a pretty hefty amount of change and you want to be sure it lasts. So you buy a nice car, not the most expensive, but one that is appealing and runs great. Now just like that car an auto website needs to have some maintenance done every once in a while. On a car you need to get the oil changed, tires rotated, brakes done, transmission flushed, and so on. It is really up to you as to how much maintenance your auto website is going to need. It all really depends on the type of auto web design you decide to move forward with.

Most of the auto website we see are ecommerce websites that sell accessories or parts for the car. Even those types can be broken down into separate categories.
