The last article we got into a few things you can do to keep up with the maintenance on your artist web design solution. Mainly we discussed how important search engine optimization is and how it affects your business. There are several other things that are involved in artist web design maintenance. Some of these things will cost you a few bucks. I know that is a little shocking to hear but keep in mind the old saying you have to spend money to make money.

Most people feel that paying for their artist web design solution is the last time they will have to spend money on it. They feel that they have already made the investment and all they have to do is wait for the customers or clients to show up. Well that mentality might work for awhile but really does it make sense? I know you spent a lot on your artist web design solution already and I’d hate to burst your bubble but you will eventually need to put more money into artist web design.

Now do not freak out about it. Every one seems to immediately whip out the big guns as soon as you mention spending more money. Put the gun down and just hear me out. Artist web design is an investment just like your home or your car. With all investments you need to take care of them in order for them to succeed. The best way to take care of your home or car is to do it yourself if you are trained or pay someone to do it for you. Artist web design works exactly the same way.

If you are still freaking out about spending more money on your artist web design solution then you better take a few web design classes. This way you can perform basic maintenance yourself. Honestly though your time would be better spent on your art work then trying to learn web design. Artist web design is not really going to cost you much in the maintenance department. Figure at the very most $500 a year. That is like one or two pieces of art right? So the investment is well worth it if you really think about it.

It is really important to realize that artist web design is an investment. Like all investments artist web design will pay off in the long run. People are so concerned with the short term things that they really lose focus of the main issue. These are the same folks that will see their artist web design investment fail. Then they will be all upset and blame the web designer for their failure. Well take a minute and blame yourself. I am not saying throw buckets of money at your artist web design solution just take the proper steps to ensure it is well maintained.

It feels as through I have been beating a dead horse about artist web design. It has felt a tad redundant to me as well. I just wanted to let everyone who might be interested in pursuing artist web design know just how important good artist web design is. The past two articles talked about the responsibilities you have to take on with an artist web design solution. So far we touched on content and a few other little things. Today we are going to switch gears and talk for an article or two about artist web design maintenance.

When you hear maintenance you might feel the need to freak out a bit. I know exactly what you are thinking to. What could an artist website possibly need once it is up and running? Well for one it will probably need some search engine optimization every once in a while. You see the search engines are constantly changing their focus as to how to rank a website. If you want your website to be found in the search engines then search engine optimization is something that you are going to have to keep up on.

You might be thinking that you already paid for search engine optimization. That could be true but search engine optimization is like changing the oil on your car. You do not do it once as soon as you buy the car, you do it every 3000 miles or so. You don’t put gas in your car only once either, you have to keep doing it. Well that is the way you need to look at artist web design. Think of your artist website as a car when it comes to maintenance. Even make a list of the things that you have to check every so often.

Forming a little maintenance checklist is actually a really great idea. Make it similar to the checklists you might find in your cars owner manual. Doing this will make the whole maintenance process a lot easier. Now you might want to have search engine optimization work done once every year at the very least. Do it at the end of the second quarter and the end of the fourth quarter. This will ensure your artist website will get great search engine rankings.

A better search engine ranking means more exposure. More exposure means more business. More business means more money. More money means a happy artist. So do yourself a favor and spend a little cash here and there to keep your artist web design solution optimized. This way you ensure a great search engine ranking and as a result keep a smile on your face.

It is no question that your artist web design solution is going to need great content. In the previous article we discussed the importance of having great content and how content is the one thing that can make or break your artist website. We also discussed the services that are out there that will take care of the content for your artist web design solution. After thinking it over for a few minutes I decided that having a service or your web design company write your content might not be the best way to go.

If you think about it your artist web design solution is going to be a reflection on your artwork. There are some things that you are just going to need done right in order to succeed. One of the obvious things you are going to need is great design. Without a stylish design that properly portrays your artwork you just might want to consider quitting the business now. Also the quality of the content you plan on using for your artist web design solution. These things are the stepping stones of artist web design without them you are guaranteed to fail on the web.

So seeing that content is so important you just do not want to trust it to anyone. Sure having a service that writes and chooses content for you is convenient as hell. However wouldn’t you feel like your artist web design solution would be lacking your touch? I mean you are already having someone design it for you. Why would you need someone to write things up for you or choose which of your works of art are going to be displayed? No body knows your art like you. Besides does it make a lot of sense to have someone who did not create the artwork write an artist statement about it? I did not think so.

You are the only person who knows what is supposed to be presented by your artwork and this is your chance to play a crucial role in your artist web design solution. You should feel obligated to write your content and choose which of pieces of your art are going into your gallery. It just makes no sense to have someone else do it for you. In fact it seems a little lazy. Not that anyone would ever know but you would and your web designers.

Artist web design is one of those things that needs a little participation from all parties involved. Most think of the web design process as being a solo deal that only a web developer handles. In some instances that is correct; however artist web design is a little different. Artist web design is a collaborate effort and should always be that way. Besides you are the only one who absolutely knows your art. Take the reigns and steer your artist web design solution in the right direction.

Artist web design can be a career changing decision. It can be one of the most fantastic things that could ever happen to your and your career. Or it can be a disaster and a complete waste of time and money. Now there is no need to worry about your artist web design solution being a disaster. These disasters can easily be avoided as long as you follow directions.

It might come as a surprise to you but you are going to have to take some responsibility for your artist web design solution. Sure the web design company you move forward with will be the one that will be responsible for the design and functionality of your artist website. But everything else will be left up to you. Certain things such as content, maintenance, and just making sure things work right will all fall on your plate. It really sounds like a lot to handle on your end. However if you take into consideration that your artist career is sort of riding on your artist website it does not seem like that much to take care of.

The most important thing you are going to have to do for your artist web design solution is to gather all the content. Content is all the pictures and text you would like to go up on your artist website. The amount of content will differ depending on the type of art you focus on, how large the website is, how much of your work you want displayed, and the length of your artist statement or profile. All these things will have to be made up by you.

Now most web design companies will offer a content collection service that can really take the pressure off of you. If you take this route all you will have to do is approve what was written and the images that the web developer came up with. Some web design companies will offer the content service for free, others might charge for this service. It all depends on the web design company. Most of the better web design companies will not charge for the content service. You figure that you are already giving them a couple thousand dollars to develop your website what is it to them to write a few paragraphs and gather a few images.

Content is going to be the one thing that can make or break your artist website. But it is not the responsibility of the web developers to ensure the proper content is being used. Whether you decide to go with a content writing service or if you want to come up with it on your own the important thing is that you have content. With out content there is just an empty shell of a website, and possibly an empty career.

The past few days we have been talking all about artist web design. We have covered everything from the types of functions you can include in you artist web design solution to dealing with the cost. It is kind of a weird area of web design to talk about just because there is so much you can do with artist web design. Not only that but there are several different types of art you can excel in, that it makes it difficult to narrow down one topic. That is why I went with a general fine arts topic for the artist web design articles.

These artist web design articles mainly focused on the fine arts. Fine arts are considered to be a category of the arts that focuses on performance arts, visual arts, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, architecture, and printmaking. When you say fine arts people tend to think that the word “fine” means the quality of the artwork in question. That is actually not true at all. “Fine” simply means the purity of the discipline required to be considered a fine artist.

While other forms of art exist, the fine arts are the ones that I wanted to focus on for the artist web design articles. Do not think that just because your form of art does not fall into the fine arts category that you can not benefit from artist web design. No matter if you focus on fine arts, decorative arts, or crafts you can see great benefits from an artist web design solution. As long as you have a great web design company developing your artist website you have nothing to worry about.

Web Design can be considered an art form as well. And like all forms of art there are those that excel at web design and there are those that are not so great at it. It is very important that you seek out the great web designers for your artist web design solution. Remember your artist website will be a reflection of your artwork and you want to be sure it is done right and looks great.

For the past few articles we have been discussing the important items that one can utilize for their artist web design solution. We have covered galleries, contact pages, artist statements, bios and profiles, and event calendar. All those things are considered standard things you would see go along with an artist web design solution. You see some of those features on every artist website from all over the world. This particular artist web design article is going to focus on one of the more important elements you can have with your artist website.

The most important item that you can have implemented into your artist web design solution would have to be an online store otherwise known as ecommerce capabilities. Above all else this will be the function that can make or break your artist career, at least in the web design world. What good is spending all that money on a beautiful artist web design solution if it can not return the favor? I understand that folks can contact you to purchase your artwork but that can be seen as too much of a hassle. Take it from me; you want to make purchasing as easy on the customer as possible.

Most people hate to spend money; they feel that if they are dropping big bucks on something they should be treated like royalty. Unfortunately that is the way our society runs “I gave you something now I can treat you like garbage because I am a customer”. What ever happened to treating those the way you want to be treated? It just does not exist anymore. Any way if you want your artist website to make you some good money an online store is the most convenient for you and the customer.

Utilizing the ecommerce capabilities on your artist web design solution is the smartest thing you can do. Not only will artist web design ensure you a great way to showcase your artwork but with ecommerce capabilities you stand to make a decent return on your investment. With ecommerce functionality your artist website stands to be your most important source of income. And everyone loves to make money, especially making money doing something you love to do.

It is important for you to take every aspect of artist web design into consideration before you move forward. Now keep in mind the things mentioned in these articles are just to be used as a guideline. There are other things you can do with your artist web design solution that might not have been mentioned in these articles. You don’t even have to use all the above features if you don’t want too. This is just a place for you to get some information specific to your artist web design solution.

We all know that artist web design offers you a fantastic way to showcase your artistic talents to the world. There really is no better way to get that kind of exposure. At least I can not think of one of the top of my head. The only thing that I can think of that could be better then artist web design is to have an advertisement play during the Super Bowl. But that will run you a couple million dollars. So obviously artist web design is the more cost effective solution.

That brings us to the next topic in the world of artist web design. Probably the biggest issue people have with anything they are looking to buy is the cost. Price means everything these days and people are always going to want to get the best deal. I personally hate when people ask how much I am willing to spend on large purchases. Like when I was looking for a new car the salesman asked me that same question. I told him I was willing to spend nothing if he was willing to give it to me for nothing. That is what everyone else is looking to spend as well, no matter what the purchase may be. Paying nothing is the best price for the buyer, so salesmen do not ask what we are willing to spend. A more appropriate question is what you budget is? That way you have established that the buyer has an interest in buying.

Cost is a little more complicated for larger purchases such as cars, houses, and websites. Not that buying a website is going to cost more then a car or house. Well it could but most artist web design solutions will not run you that much. As a buyer there are a few things you need to understand about the artist web design process. Do not call up a web designer or a web design company and ask what an artist website costs. That is like going into a car dealership and asking what a car costs or asking a builder what a house costs. Well what type of car and how big of a house? What features are you looking for in this car? What things are you going to want in your house? All these types of questions can all be applied to artist web design.

What are you looking to do with your artist website? Are you going to be selling your artwork? Are you going to have a gallery? How many pictures are going to be in that gallery? Are you going to want the website to be dynamic? These are just a few questions that you should be prepared to answer when calling a web design in pursuit of an artist web design solution. So do not freak out. Just sit down and write out a few ideas you might have for your artist web design solution. This will give you and your web designer a starting point for your artist web design solution.

So please do not call up and ask how much a website costs, and be wary of the companies that will say something like all websites start at $100. Well yeah that’s great and all but what does that $100 website include? Probably not what you are looking for. They just use those tactics to draw you in. Do not fall for it. Many other have fallen for that very ploy and they typically come out of it very unsatisfied.

In the previous articles we discussed the different feature that one can use for their artist web design solution. This article will focus on a few other things that were not mentioned in the previous two articles. Do not think that these things we are about to discuss are not as important to your artist web design solution as the other things. In fact most of the features that go along with artist web design are equally important. It all really depends on which aspect of artist web design you focus on that will determine the features importance. Of course the gallery is going to probably be the single most important thing to an artist. But there are a few other things you might not have thought about.

One of those things that you might not have paid any mind to is an event calendar. This feature can be used by your fans to organize a visit to a gallery your work might be featured in. Or even give a chance for those fans to meet you. How flattering, right? This is an important item to have go along with your artist web design solution. This will show your fans or clients that you are producing new works and that you are trying to push those works out for the public to see. The event calendar feature can also be set up to be updated by your self. This way you will not have to hire a web designer every time you need a few changes to your event calendar.

Another important feature you might have overlooked for your artist web design solution is a biography or a profile. This differs from the artist statement because it is not focusing on a single piece of art work or works. It is more of a summary of your artistic career. Think of it like a narrative resume. You can make it a resume style page, but those are incredibly boring to read. You want your story to be just as captivating as your artwork so it is important not to simply list things out like a resume would. If you are not as talented at writing as you are with fine arts that is okay too. Most web design companies will have a content writer on staff that will write you up an impressive artist biography or profile. Also some of the better web design companies do not charge you for this service; it comes free with the website.

We are going to continue to discuss the different features one can utilize with their artist web design solution. The next few articles will hit on some of the really important things that every artist website should have integrated into them.

Artist web design continues to and will always be the best way to show off your artistic talents to the world. In the last article we touched on the gallery sections of an artist web design solution. Now the gallery section might be one of the more important areas of your artist website. There are a few other sections that can prove to be just as important if not more important.

One of the most popular sections you see on being used in artist web design is a contact section. This is pretty self explanatory but for the sake of taking up space I am going to tell you all about it but I am going to try to sound smart doing it. Essentially a contact section consists of all the possible ways the users on the artist website can communicate with said artist. Typically one will find an email address but it is not uncommon to see a phone number and/or home or studio address as well. This section is pretty standard on every website you come across. Not that difficult to do and it is kind of expected too.

Another popular section one comes across on an artist website is an artist statement. Typically you would see this if the artist website is showcasing a particular event. If you are in the art field you know exactly what an artist statement is and what it consists of. For those of us who might not know; it is a little section that allows the artist to explain the inspiration for the project and the way they went about creating it. Include things such as the medium used, where your subjects came from, and what the project says about you or about the world. It can really be anything the artist wants it to be. Either way an artist statement is a pretty important thing to include on in your artist web design solution.

There are other equally important features that one can utilize with artist web design. The ones mentioned above are usually pretty standard things that one would come across when looking at artist’s websites. Most are just comprised of text and do not really involve that much work form you or your web designer. The other features that one can use with artist web design will be mentioned in future articles so stay tuned and keep those artistic talents flowing. For more information on artist web design check us out at DreamCo Design - Artist Web Design.

Art exists in every aspect of our lives. Every day we see, hear and touch art. We are surrounded and even drowning in art everywhere we go. Some people just go around and not even notice the beauty that is all around them. Forcing those ignorant ears and eyes to pay attention and absorb what is around them can be extremely difficult to do. The best thing to do is get at those that do pay attention to the art around them. Keep them captivated and make your artistic talents available to them.

Of course the best way to go about making your talents known is to showcase them with an artist web design solution. The things you can do with an artist web design solution are as limitless as your artistic creativity. Most artist websites will have some pretty standard elements to them. But do not be afraid to think of other more interesting or even interactive things to do with your artist website.

No matter what area of fine arts you practice every artist web design solution will have a gallery section to it. What good is it creating these beautiful works of art if you can not show them off to those on your artist website? Galleries can be broken down into categories for each medium, theme, or style. It is totally up to you. Some artist websites will have all their paintings on one gallery, sketches, and sculptures in another. This works really well and helps keep the artist and the users organized and focused.

One of the more interesting things that I have seen on several artist websites is a gallery that tells a story or maintains a theme. These galleries can be made up of works from several different mediums all showcased and brought together by a general theme or story. Many artists from all areas of the world and from every time period have done the same thing in physical galleries. But it is extremely interesting to see it used in a gallery on an artist website. It is not really an original idea but it is a classic one that will never get old.

Artistic web design offers artists several different solutions to help them get the exposure they deserve. Nothing else can showcase your talents and expertise better then a fully customized artist web design solution. Just take a look at all the great things that are happening with other artist around the web. If it was not for their artist website they might not be as big as they are.
